Steven Moore, MD – Supervising Physician
Steven Moore MD is a resident of Wimberley, TX, and the supervising physician for Healing Arts. He is a graduate of Texas A&M, and a former commissioned officer in the US Army. In 2000 he completed his primary medical training through Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico and the 5th pathway program at New York Medical College, Vahalla, New York. In 2003 he completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital, New York, New York, serving as chief resident in his final year of training. He served as full time faculty at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston for almost three years, earning the “Teacher of the Year”award for the Division of Emergency Medicine his final year. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine through the American Board of Emergency Medicine, an active member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, and currently practices full time at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels, TX. His medical interests include infectious disease, specifically the treatment of severe sepsis and septic shock, and he is a strong advocate for increasing access to healthcare. He believes medicine is a collaborative effort between the patient and all practitioners and that “the needs of the patient always come first.” |
